The shop

Nothing on the floor is held back. What you can order from my 3D print shop is priced below, then every machine is listed with its build size, nozzle and layer heights, every material I stock is named, and so is every one I only order for a job. What is on the floor is what is on this page.

I am Jackson Heller. I draw the parts and answer this phone myself.

Order

What you can order, and what it costs.

Every figure here comes from the same rates as the price-a-part calculator, and a written quote sets the final price. Checkout opens at launch. Until then, ask about any of these and I reply myself.

The machines

What the machines can do.

The printers on the floor and what each one can do
MachineBedEnclosedNozzleLayer heightMaterials
Bambu Lab P2S256 × 256 × 256 mmYes 0.4 mm0.2, 0.6 and 0.8 mm on request0.08 to 0.28 mm PLA, PETG, PLA+The only enclosed machine, so the only one I would order ABS, ASA or filled nylon in for.
Bambu Lab A1 mini180 × 180 × 180 mmNo 0.4 mm0.08 to 0.28 mm PLA, PETGOpen frame. Not used for ABS or ASA.
Anycubic Kobra 2220 × 220 × 250 mmNo 0.4 mm0.1 to 0.3 mm PLA, PETGBrass nozzle. Abrasive filament only after a hardened kit is fitted.

Bed sizes are the maker’s figures. The usable area is smaller once the purge line, the clips and some room for warping are set aside, and it changes with the part, so it is confirmed against your file rather than promised here. Dimensional tolerance is quoted per part after I review the file: a published figure would need a measured one, and mine is not measured yet.

When the printers are connected, this panel will show which ones are running, never whose parts are on them. Until then it shows nothing it cannot know.

Design work

Bring a problem, not a file.

A part that does not exist yet, a fixture nobody sells, a replacement for something discontinued. I draw it in parametric CAD and revise it against the thing in your hand rather than against a render.

A useful quote needs six things

Function
what it has to do
Load
force, heat, wear
Material
PLA to PA6-GF
Tolerance
fit and finish
Quantity
one, or a run
Date
when you need it

The limits

Seven kinds of work I turn down.

Stated here rather than buried in terms, because every one is a job somebody has asked for or will ask for.

  1. 01Firearms, firearm components, and anything designed to accept one
  2. 02Load-bearing or safety-critical parts, where a failure hurts somebody
  3. 03Food-contact parts. Layer lines harbor bacteria and these machines are not food-safe
  4. 04Medical, dental, or anything that goes in or on a body
  5. 05Licensed characters and other people’s intellectual property
  6. 06Mass production. Past a few hundred units, injection molding beats me on price, and I will say so
  7. 07Processes that are not in-house, including resin, SLS and machining
